You know this verse, but folks from the mainline denominations likely don't.
Why is it, then, that you don't live like you know it? You listen to preachers, and other conservative evangelical talking heads, preaching fear of the culture, fear of the other, fear of not being armed to the teeth, fear that women dare to consider themselves equal to men, fear of sex and sexuality, fear of other religions, fear, fear, fear.
Every last bit of that is false teaching from false prophets. You have God's Word for it, right here.
